Meet the people, values, and lived experience behind compassionate online therapy across Missouri.
Safe Harbor began with a simple idea: therapy should be a place where people do not have to hide who they are or carry every burden alone.
Michael Mason, M.Ed., LPC, NCC, and Rebecca Mason co-founded the practice around that commitment. Safe Harbor has grown beyond a single-clinician story while retaining its original focus: thoughtful, human care without shame or pressure.

Safe Harbor Counseling of Missouri provides individual online therapy for clients across Missouri. Our clinicians support people navigating emotional distress, identity concerns, trauma, caregiver stress, and life transitions.
We believe therapy should respect the whole person. That means listening closely, recognizing each client’s lived experience, and shaping care around individual needs rather than a one-size-fits-all path.
Our clinicians bring different backgrounds, areas of focus, and ways of working. You can explore their profiles or contact Safe Harbor if you are unsure which therapist may be the better fit.

We listen closely, honor lived experience, and work with clients instead of prescribing a single path for everyone.
LGBTQ+ identities and diverse backgrounds are welcomed and affirmed. Clients should not have to hide, mask, or justify who they are in therapy.
Each clinician works within their training and professional scope, using approaches suited to the client’s needs, goals, and circumstances.
We offer current, practical information about services, therapist fit, and next steps so clients can make decisions without pressure.
Professional care can still be warm and personal. We value honesty, respect, and a therapeutic relationship where questions are welcome.
